Heiva I Keaukaha, a Tahitian dance event that features a full day of solo and group competitions, as well as various craft and food vendors, will take place on Sunday.

Heiva I Keaukaha will be from 9:30 a m. to 4:30 p.m. at Kawananakoa Gym in Hilo, with groups coming from all over the islands to compete.

The day starts with the solo competition and continues with different groups competing in the Aparima, Ote’a and Ahupurotu categories. An exhibition and awards ceremony will follow.

Tickets are $8 at the door; children under 4 are free.
